24 hour Emergency Carer Support Service for people who provide unpaid care for adults who depend on them because of illness, disability or frailty. This service is free of charge and can provide replacement care by qualified and professional emergency carers in an emergency. This service can be provided within an hour of receiving an emergency call and is available for a period of 48 hrs (72 in exceptional circumstances) to unpaid carers who have previously registered.

Samaritans provides confidential non-judgemental emotional support, 24 hours a day for people who are experiencing feelings of distress or despair, including those which could lead to suicide.Samaritans is available to anyone who is in any kind of distress. People of all backgrounds and ages contact us for emotional support. Sometimes people call us because they are struggling to cope with a single problem that they have. More often, people contact us because a number of problems have mounted up and they’re finding it hard to cope.
